WHAT ARE MISFITS?
Misfits are a few different things. They are colorways that may not have turned out quite the way I was picturing them. Sometimes when dyeing, colors don't always fully exhaust and I'll mix whatever is left over all together and create something unique. Sometimes when using an exhausted pan of clear water to rinse my utensils, the pan will be left with this interesting and unique color. Sometimes I'm just experimenting with color mixes. In my effort to minimize waste, and conserve water, I'll use that leftover color to dye one of a kind colorways on yarn. The yarn used may not always be a regular base you see in the shop. Sometimes the base is just as much of a Misfit as the color, sometimes it isn't. I don't always have dyestock leftover to dye Misfits, but when I do, it's always a happy surprise! When you adopt a Misfit, you're getting something very special and one of a kind and you're helping to promote a waste not want not philosophy.
FOXY SOX:

All our yarn is hand-dyed in house at Snerb Yarn & Fiber Studio with much love and attention to detail. We use multiple techniques and methods to give our yarn depth and facets of color. We dye everything by hand in small batches. Due to the nature of the way our skeins are dyed, no two will be identical. That is simply the nature of hand dyed yarn. Please stagger your skeins for even color distribution.
We use professional acid dyes which are light and color fast and will not fade. Many of our colorways are deeply saturated. Although we do our best to make sure all color is fully absorbed and exhausted during to the dyeing process, some colors may possibly bleed during the first wash.
Please visit our "FAQ" page for more information about our shop policies.
***We recommend hand wash only in cold water, then lay flat to dry.
